Guacamole (Fresh, Zesty, & Just the Right Amount of Heat)

Guacamole

This simple guacamole recipe is vibrant, fresh, and packed with flavor. It’s made with creamy avocados, finely chopped shallots, bright lime juice, and a touch of heat from Serrano peppers. Whether served with chips, tacos, or breakfast eggs, it never disappoints.

Ingredients:

  • 4–6 ripe avocados

  • 1 small bunch fresh cilantro, finely chopped

  • 1–2 shallots or 1/4 red onion, finely chopped (shallots preferred for a milder bite)

  • Juice of 3–4 limes (more to taste)

  • 2–4 Serrano peppers, finely chopped (adjust to heat preference)

  • Salt (don’t be shy!)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Ingredients:
Finely chop the cilantro, shallots, and Serrano peppers. Halve the avocados and scoop them into a large bowl.

  2. Mix:
Add all ingredients to the bowl and mash gently with a fork or potato masher—leaving some chunks if you like texture.

  3. Season:
Squeeze in lime juice and season generously with salt. Mix again, taste, and adjust lime or salt as needed.

  4. Serve:
Serve immediately with chips, fresh veggies, tacos, or spooned on top of eggs or grilled meats. Fresh and flavorful every time!
